The Samsung Galaxy A40s features a 6.4-inch AMOLED Infinity-U display with a Resolution of 2,160 x 1,440 pixels. The display has a waterdrop notch on the top which houses a 16-megapixel selfie camera. Galaxy A40s also features a triple camera setup with a combination of 13-megapixel main sensor with an f/1.9 aperture, a 5-megapixel ultrawide lens with f/2.2 Aperture and a 5-megapixel depth sensor.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by Exynos 7904 octa-core Processor coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It has a fingerprint sensor on the back and carries a 3.5mm Headphone jack as well. The phone is backed up by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging. It runs Android 9 Pie out of the box.
