ZTE announces range of multimode TDD LTE products

The product range includes dongles, tablets and smartphones that support both TDD and FDD LTE standards.

After Huawei, another Chinese handset player, ZTE has now introduced four devices including a tablet and a smartphone that support or services. Among the newly announced devices include two dongles, namely MF820S2 and MF91S dongles, which are multi-standard USB and UFi (WiFi hotspot) that supports LTE FDD/LTE TDD/TD-SCDMA /EDGE networks.

While in India we have only Airtel’s 4G network (TDD LTE) as of now, we will soon have networks from Reliance Industries, Aircel, and Tikona. However, there are still no devices like the tablets and smartphones that support these networks.

Fortunately, Huawei is set to launch tablets and smartphones with LTE support in India by December. And with these ZTE devices the availability of LTE products in India seems to be taken care of.
