Zopo announces Speed X smartphone with Android Nougat and dual camera setup

The smartphone is powered with Niki, an artificial intelligence (AI) based chatbot funded by Ratan Tata.

Zopo has officially announced their new smartphone Speed X today after teasing it last month. The ZOPO Speed X will be available in four different colour options- Charcoal Black, Royale Gold, Orchid Gold and Space Grey. The price and availability of the device have not been revealed by the company yet.

The Zopo Speed X has been integrated with Niki, an artificial intelligence (AI) based chatbot funded by Ratan Tata. With the Nicki chat-bot, Speed X offers easy to purchase over travel, entertainment, daily utilities and other e-commerce services. With this AI, users can also chat with Nicki to pay bills, book buses, hotels, tickets and more.

The Zopo Speed X has a metal unibody design and features a 5-inch full 2.5D ARC display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The smartphone comes equipped with a 1.3GHz MT6753 Octa-core 64-bit processor with Mali T720GPU. It has a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The smartphone runs on 7.0 Nougat operating system and is backed up by a 2680mAh battery. It also houses a fingerprint scanner, which is located at the back of the device.

On the camera front, Speed X offers a dual camera setup of 13-megapixel primary and 2-megapixel secondary camera. The primary camera comes with flash, f/2.2 aperture, OmniVision OV13850 sensor. On the front it also houses same 13-megapixel camera with OmniVision OV12830 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, soft LED flash. The soft light LED flash helps taking selfies even in the low-light. Besides, the device offers hybrid dual SIM, LTE with VoLTE, WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, 3.5mm and FM Radio. The handset is 8.1mm and weighs 131 grams.
