Zion has launched its 16GB DDR4 RAM module for desktops, laptops and workstations. Zion claims that the new module has 2x speed and is up to 40% energy efficient.
As per the company, it helps process data faster, enables twice the responsiveness and also increase memory Bandwidth by up to 50% to 25.6 GB/s. Initially, the data rates start at 2133 MT/s and gets even faster as the technology matures. This is much higher when compared to the old DDR3 rates. Faster burst access speeds for improved sequential data is also a unique feature of DDR4 technology. Regarding the capacity, the new DDR4 technology allows you to double your server’s memory capacity and get more out of every module and your entire network.
One can also test its capabilities in gaming department by overclocking the components at 2133 MHz.
On top of it, the new UDIM DDR4 memory modules comes with low operating voltage of 1.200V which results in low electrical load and saves consumption up to 20% less when compared to standard RAMs. Less consumption means less power and prolonged battery usage protecting the environment by consuming less energy. The module also emits less heat allowing the system to work at cooler temperatures which in turn increases the reliability of the memory module.
