Xolo is getting ready to launch a new sub brand – Black. The first smartphone under this new sub-brand will be launched around June 15 and smartphones under this brand will be priced between Rs 8,000 to Rs 20,000.
“The first smartphone under Xolo Black brand will have dual rear camera and will support 4G,” Vishal Sehgal, co founder of Xolo told The Mobile Indian.
He further added, “This smartphone will be priced around Rs 15,000 and it will be based on Hive.â€
Xolo Black smartphones will be exclusively available via an online portal. Xolo has also partnered with a telecom service provider for bundled data offer; it will reveal the name of the operator at the time of the launch of the smartphone next month. Xolo, also plans to make the smartphone in the partner operator’s store as well.
Meanwhile, Vishal also informed The Mobile Indian that there will be no flash sales and that about 10,000 units of the phone will be made available on the day 1 itself.
Under the new brand, Xolo plans to launch around six smartphones in a year and all of them will be 4G ready.
