Xiaomi today announced that it will launch the Mi Max in India on this June 30. Xiaomi’s vice president Hugo Barra had first revealed the launch date of Mi Max phablet in India earlier this month. At the same launch event, Xiaomi will also announce the MIUI8 roll out for its Indian fans.
Xioami Mi Max comes in three variants – one with 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and Snapdragon 650 SoC variant priced at 1499 yuan (approximately Rs 15,335), another with 3GB RAM with 64GB internal storage and Snapdragon 652 SoC at 1699 yuan (approximately Rs 17,375) and the third one has 4GB RAM with 128GB storage and Snapdragon 652 SoC at 1999 yuan (approximately Rs 20,445). However, it’s not clear which of the variants will be launching in India. Xiaomi Mi Max comes in gold, silver and light grey colours.
Xiaomi Mi Max has a full metal unibody design and features 6.44-inch Full HD (1920×1080) IPS display. It is powered by Snapdragon 650 hexa-core processor and Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor. All the variants have expandable memory via micro SD card. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and is backed up by a 4850 mAh battery. It also features a fingerprint scanner which is located at the rear panel.
The smartphone boasts a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual tone LED flash and a 5 Megapixel front-facing camera with 85-degree wide-angle lens. Beside, the smartphone offers Hybrid Dual SIM, 4G LTE with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi, Micro-USB 2.0 port, AGPS and GLONASS. The handset measures 173.1 x 88.3 x 7.5 mm and weighs 203 grams.
