Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, Redmi Note 5 to go on sale today in India

Both the smartphones will be available from company’s official store, Flipkart and Mi Home retail Stores.

Xiaomi recently announced the launch of the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphones in India. Now, the smartphones will go on sale for the first time in India.

The Redmi Note 5 comes with a price tag of Rs 9,999 for the 3GB variant, while the 4GB RAM option is priced at Rs 11,999.The Redmi Note 5 Pro is priced at Rs 13,999 for the 4GB RAM option, while the 6GB RAM variant is priced at Rs 16,999.Both the smartphones will be available from company’s official store, Flipkart and Mi Home retail Stores.

The brand also partnered with Reliance Jio to provide cash back and double data offer for the latest smartphones. To start with the cashback offer, Reliance Jio users get a cashback of Rs 2,200 on the purchase of Redmi Note 5 Pro and Redmi Note 5. The cashback will be delivered in the form of 44 vouchers of Rs 50 each in MyJio app. The vouchers can be redeemed on subsequent recharges of Rs 198 and Rs 299 plans.

Moving on, the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro buyers can also avail double data offer from Reliance Jio. Under this offer, Jio users can receive double data across all Jio plans priced on and above Rs 198. The offer is valid with three recharges. So, for example, if a user recharges with Rs 349 plan, then he/she will be eligible for 210GB of data instead of 105GB for the same plan. Further, a user can perform three recharges under the same offer.

Starting with the Redmi Note 5 Pro, the smartphone has been launched first in India. The smartphone will be available in Gold, Rose Gold, Black and Blue colour options. Jumping straight to the specifications, the Redmi Note 5 Pro features a 5.99-inch Full display with a screen of 2160 x 1080 pixels, a colour contrast ratio of 1500:1 and 450-nits brightness.

The smartphone is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 along with Adreno 509 GPU. The smartphone is backed by a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, while there is another variant that comes with 6GB RAM and 64GB of storage option.

The phone is backed by a dual-camera setup, making it first smartphone under Redmi series to feature dual rear cameras. The phone features 12-megapixel primary lens with 1.25-micron pixel and f/2.2 along with a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with 1.12-micron pixel and f/2.0 aperture. For the front, there is a 20-megapixel camera with Sony IMX376 sensor, flash and Beautify 4.0.

The Redmi Note 5 Pro is backed by a 4000mah battery and it runs on MIUI 9 based on 7.1.2 Nougat. On the connectivity front, the phone features 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, dual-SIM, and port.

Coming to the Redmi Note 5, the smartphone will be available in Gold, Rose Gold, Black and Blue colour options. Jumping straight to the specifications, the Redmi Note 5 features a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels, a colour contrast ratio of 1000:1 and 450-nits brightness.
