Xiaomi recently launched Redmi 6, Redmi 6A, and the Redmi 6 Pro smartphones in India. Now out of these three, Redmi 6 will go on sale today via Flipkart and Mi.com at 12:00 PM. The smartphone is priced at Rs 7,999 and Rs 9,499 for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB and 3GB RAM/ 64GB inbuilt storage variants.
The Redmi 6 comes in Black, Blue, Gold and Rose Gold colours. As an introductory offer, both Flipkart and Mi.com are offering a Rs 500 instant discount on HDFC Bank credit and debit card users. On Flipkart, Axis bank is also offering a 5 percent discount on its Buzz credit cards.
The Xiaomi Redmi 6 sports a 5.45-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) with an 18:9 aspect ratio and an 80.7 percent screen-to-body ratio. It runs MIUI 9.6 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo operating system and has a 3,000mAh battery with support for 5W charging.

It is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 SoC with 3GB of RAM and 32GB and 64GB storage variants. The storage is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.
For the camera, the Redmi 6 Pro has dual rear cameras with a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture, 1.25-micron pixels. There is a 5-megapixel front camera with f/2.2 aperture, 1.12-micron pixels and AI beautification capabilities.
Xiaomi Redmi 6 has standard connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, 3.5mm Headphone jack and micro-USB. The smartphone measures 147.5×71.5×8.3mm and the weight is 146 grams.
