Xiaomi has officially confirmed that it working on a new lineup of smartphones, named as Pocophone. The company has also revealed that Poco by Xiaomi will be launched in India.
The confirmation comes from Jani Mani, Xiaomi’s India Lead Product Manager, on its official Twitter account. The tweet reads, “Today is a special day. I’m excited to start sharing more about the new project I’ve been working on. Wish me luck! @IndiaPOCO @GlobalPocophone.” The tweet has Poco by Xiaomi Twitter handle for India, meaning that the new lineup with introduced in the country. Further, Xiaomi India has also retweeted Mani tweet wishing him luck, which further strengthens this claims.

The first smartphone from this new brand could be none other than Pocophone F1. The device has been leaked on numerous occasions, revealing its key specifications, design and potential price.
Recollecting some key specs, the Pocophone F1 features a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2246 x 1080 pixels resolution along with 19:9 aspect ratio, meaning that it will come with top notch. The phone will be a flagship device as it is reported to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 mobile platform along with Adreno 640 GPU. On the memory front, you might get a 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and it might be available in 64GB and 128GB storage variants.

The Pocophone F1 features dual-camera setup at the rear. There will be a 12MP primary lens and a 5MP secondary sensors. For the front, it will be equipped with a 20MP camera for selfies and video calling. The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and it is backed by a 4000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. On the connectivity, the phone supports 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, dual-SIM, 3.5mm audio jack and USB Type-C port.
