XiaoMi, the chinese handset maker, has made its debut in India as ‘Mi India’ with the quiet launch of Mi3 smartphone. The all new Mi3 packs a segment killer hardware and will certainly make the Motorola Moto G run for the money. New Mi Mi3 features full HD 5-inch display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 mobile chipset. Mi India plans to make the Mi3 available in India at Rs 14,999 but has not shared the plans to where it will be available for purchase.
Mi India’s Mi3 is company’s first device to debut in India. The Mi3 features a 5-inch IPS LCD display with 1920×1080 pixel resolution. Offering a great pixel density of 441 pixels per inch, the smartphone certainly will be the best display touting phone in the segment.
Mi has powered the Mi3 smartphone with a quad-core 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 MSM8274AB mobile Chipset coupled with Adreno 330 and paired it with 2 GB RAM. For storage, the phone offers 16 GB on-board but there is no memory card slot.
The Mi3 runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean version optimised with the MIUI version 5, basically based on the Android Open Source Project code. The Mi3 features a 13 megapixel camera with f/2.2 Aperture and couples Dual LED flash. Supporting full 1080p HD video recording, the camera also features video stabiliser.
Mi3 features high speed 3G HSPA+ network support through a mini-SIM card and also offers dual-band WiFi support for enabling high speed mobile internet. Other features include Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, and WiFi Direct support. Mi3 also features a massive 3050 mAh battery inside.
Mi India shared on its official website about making Mi3 available for booking from July 15 onwards at Rs 14,999. There is no information how the company plans to make it available across the country. We also wish to state that expect some “Out of Stock” and “Sold Out” labels on the website on July 15 when the gate for pre-orders/orders open.
