Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 gets a new stable MIUI 10 update with new slider features

The update shifts the software version of the Mi Mix 3 to MIUI 10.0.12.0 and weighs in at 2.1GB in size. Just a week after seeding the Mi Max 3 with a beta update to Android 9 Pie, Xiaomi’s development team has now prepared a new stable MIUI 10 update to the flagship Mi Mix 3 smartphone. The update features new slider sound features, fixes bugs in the slide settings and more.

The update shifts the software version of the Mi Mix 3 to MIUI 10.0.12.0 and weighs in at 2.1GB in size. The major highlight of the update comes in the form of new settings related to the mechanical slider which can be found under Settings. Users can choose from a selection of five slider sound effects.

There’s also a new ‘One Push and Reach’ feature which allows users to open a specific when sliding the screen. The latest update fixes bugs when using the LED flash and glitches in graphics while using the phone’s for low light photography.

The MIUI 10.0.12.0 update to Mi Mix 3 is currently being rolled out to users in China. Xiaomi has also indicated that it is in need of 25 Mi Fan beta testers who will be willing to test and give feedback on the global stable update of MIUI 10 on the MI Mix 3. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 was launched in October with a 6.39-inch Full HD+ that has a resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:5:9. The display has a high screen-to-body ratio of 93.4 percent and is well lit under bright sunlight at 600 nits. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 845 with Adreno 630 GPU, 6GB/8GB/10GB and 128GB/256GB storage configurations.

The Mix 3 has a ceramic back panel with a fingerprint sensor at the centre and houses a dual 12MP + 12MP camera setup for primary imaging. Xiaomi has employed a magnetic slider design which equips a 24-megapixel Sony IMX576 camera as well as a 2-megapixel depth-of-field sensor and a flash. The device runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with MIUI 10 and is fuelled by a 3,850mAh battery with and 10W Qi wireless charging support.
