Xiaomi had launched Mi Mix 2 in September in China this year in White colour. Now the GizmoChina reports that the company has launched the ceramic black colour variant of Mi Mix 2. Alonside, Xiaomi has also launched a limited edition variant of Mi Mix 2 which is dubbed as Mi Mix 2 Starck Edition. The device is designed by Philippe Starck and will have Starck’s signature inscribed on the back. For unintended, Phillip Starck is the designer of the Mi Mix series.
Xiaomi launched Mi Mix 2 in China in two variants – a fully ceramic version and a ceramic version with aluminium alloy frame. The aluminium alloy frame model comes with 6GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage and the ceramic variant comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The new Mi Mix 2 Starck Edition will have 8GB RAM with 128GB of storage. The Mi Mix 2 Ceramic Black variant is priced at 4,699 Yuan, while the Mi Mix 2 Starck Edition will cost you 4,999 Yuan. The new Mi Mix 2 ceramic version will go on sale starting from November 28. Xiaomi launched Mi Mix 2 in India for Rs 35,999 with 6GB RAM, metal frame and ceramic back body in black colour.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 comes features a metal chassis with the ceramic rear body and comes with a 5.99-inch (2160 x 1080) Super AMOLED with an 18:9 full-screen display and a bezel-less display. It is powered by 2.45 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 835 64-bit processor along with Adreno 540 GPU. The dual-SIM smartphone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat operating with MIUI 9 and has a non-removable 3400 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix offers a 12-megapixel autofocus rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Sony IMX386 sensor, 4-axis OIS, f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens, PDAF, HDR. On the right of the lens is a dual LED flash and below it is a fingerprint scanner. For the front, there is a 5-megapixel camera that supports face recognition and also has autofocus. On the connectivity front, the device offers 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), GPS with AGS/GLONASS and USB Type C. Unfortunately the device lacks 3.5mm headphone jack but instead, the device will be shipped with a USB Type-C dongle. The handset measures 158.8 x 81.9 x 7.9mm and weighs 209 grams. The handset measures 150.5 x 74.6 x 7.7mm, and weighs 187 grams.
