While Xiaomi is all set to launch Xiaomi Mi Max on 30th June in India, reports of a new variant of the phone with 2GB RAM has now surfaced online. As per GizmoChina, a screenshot has been leaked online which reveals that the new variant of Xiaomi Mi Max has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.
Currently, Xiaomi Mi Max comes in three variants – one with 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and Snapdragon 650 SoC variant priced at 1499 yuan (approximately Rs 15,335), another with 3GB RAM with 64GB internal storage and Snapdragon 652 SoC at 1699 yuan (approximately Rs 17,375) and the third one has 4GB RAM with 128GB storage and Snapdragon 652 SoC at 1999 yuan (approximately Rs 20,445). However, it’s not clear which of the variants will be launching in India. The new 2GB variant is expected to cheaper than the current Xioami Mi Max variants.
As far as the specs of Mi Max 2GB variant is concerned, apart from memory all the specs are same as the specs of Mi Max three variants that have been launched in China before. We have to wait till the launch of Mi Max on 30th June in India. May be Xiaomi has plans to launch this variant in India along with other variants.
Xiaomi Mi Max has a full metal unibody design and features 6.44-inch Full HD (1920×1080) IPS display. It is powered by Snapdragon 650 hexa-core processor and Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor. All the variants have expandable memory via micro SD card. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and is backed up by a 4850 mAh battery. It also features a fingerprint scanner which is located at the rear panel.
The smartphone boasts a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual tone LED flash and a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with 85-degree wide-angle lens. Beside, the smartphone offers Hybrid Dual SIM, 4G LTE with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi, Micro-USB 2.0 port, AGPS and GLONASS. The handset measures 173.1 x 88.3 x 7.5 mm and weighs 203 grams.
