Xiaomi Mi A1 Special Edition Red variant goes on sale today

With the addition of this new colour, the Mi A1 will now be available in four colour options - Black, Gold, Rose Gold and Red.

Xiaomi recently launched Xiaomi Mi A1 Special Edition Red variant in India for Rs 13,999. The new variant is now available for sale on Flipkart and mi.com at a discounted price of Rs 12,999 as a part of No. 1 Mi Fan Sale which is going on from December 20 to December 21. It is also available at all Mi Home stores, Mi Preferred Partner stores, and retail partner stores.

The special edition comes three months after the official launch of the device in September in India for Rs 14,999. Apart from the colour change, no there is no change in the specifications of the Xiaomi Mi A1. As of now, it is not known that the new special edition will make its way to other markets or not including ‌India.

Recently, Xiaomi Mi A1 Android Oreo Beta update started rolling out to selected users. The update is about 1104.1 MB in size and it brings lots of goodies of Oreo with it. First of all, users get the latest December Android security patch. Interestingly, if the beta testing goes in the right direction and if there would no bugs, then all users could get the stable version of the Android Oreo pretty soon.

Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Mi A1 has received a permanent price cut of Rs 1,000. The device was launched at Rs 14,999 and is now available for Rs 1,000 less. So now after the price cut, Xiaomi Mi A1 retails at Rs 13,999 on Flipkart and Mi.com.
