Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite new variant with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage announced

Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite features a 6.26-inch Full HD+ notched display. It has 1080x2280 pixels resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio.

Xiaomi launched Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth aka Mi 8 Lite smartphone in China in three variants – 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, 6GB RAM with 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage. Now the company has announced a new variant with 4GB RAM and 128 storage in China.

The new variant will be available for sale starting November 16 in China. However, Xiaomi is yet to confirm on the pricing of the newly announced 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage variant of the phone. The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite is the watered-down variant of the Xiaomi Mi 8 which was launched earlier this year.

Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite features a 6.26-inch Full notched display. It has 1080×2280 pixels resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. The device is armed with Qualcomm octa-core Snapdragon 660 with Adreno 512 GPU. It has a circular fingerprint scanner on the back for security.

For camera, the smartphone has horizontally aligned dual rear cameras with a combination of 12-megapixel primary sensor with flash, 1.4μm pixel size, f/1.9 and 5-megapixel secondary sensor. For the front, it has a 24-megapixel camera for selfie and video calling with Sony IMX576 sensor, 5-element lens and beautify features.

The Mi 8 Lite runs on 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 10 on top backed by a 3,250mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. The device measures 156.4 x 75.8 x 7.5 mm and weighs 169 grams. Connectivity features are Dual VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz) 2×2 MIMO , 5 LE, GPS + and Type-C.
