Xiaomi is rumoured to launch the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus smartphones in this week before November 11. Also, it is speculated to announce the Redmi Note 5 smartphone next month in December. All these phones are rumoured to arrive with full-screen design. Now as per a report of a Chines website MyDrivers, Xiaomi is also expected to come up with another full-screen smartphone dubeed as Xiaomi Mi 6C which could be unveiled this year.
Xiaomi Mi 6C is likely to be powered by Xiaomi’s new Surge S2 Chipset and will be the successor of the Mi 5C smartphone that was released earlier this year. Xiaomi Mi 5C was launched with company’s in-house Surge S1 chipset, so it is highly probable that Xiaomi Mi 6C will be driven by the new Surge S2 SoC. The Surge S2 processor will also be a successor to Surge S1 which was launched with Xiaomi Mi 5C. The processor is produced using the 16nm process node and is configured as octa-core (2.2 GHz four Cortex-A73 and 1.8 GHz four Cortex-A53 cores). The processor will come with a Mali G71MP8 GPU and supports UFS 2.1 flash memory.
The smartphone is expected to arrive as a full-screen edition of the Xiaomi Mi 6. It is said to feature a 5.65-inch display with full HD+ display and an aspect ratio of 18:9. As per the report, the smartphone might be unveiled as either Xiaomi Mi 6X or Xiaomi 6C.

The earlier leaked specifications suggest that Xiaomi Mi 6C will feature a double-sided 2.5D curved glass design and the screen ratio of the device is said to be higher than that of the Mi 6. Furthermore, the Xiaomi Mi 6C is also said to feature a dual rear camera setup of 12-megapixel primary camera with Sony IMX386 CMOS sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary camera. The smartphone will come in two variants – 4GB RAM with 64 GB internal storage and another with 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage. For the pricing, the Mi 6C may be priced at 2,699 Yuan which is approximately Rs 26,305.
