Xiaomi had launched Xiaomi Mi 5X last month in China in 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Now Xiaomi has launched a cheaper variant of Xiaomi Mi 5X with 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage in China itself.
The Xiaomi Mi 5X with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage is priced at 1499 Yuan which is approximately Rs 14,285. The new 4GB variant with 32GB of internal storage is priced at 1,299 Yuan which is approximately Rs 12,465 and would go on sale from starting today. Apart from the memory configuration, the specs of the newly launched variant remain same.
Xiaomi Mi 5X features a full metal body design with rounded edges and a 5.5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) curved glass display with brightness up to 450 nits and is powered by 2 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor and Adreno 506 GPU coupled with 4GB RAM. It has 32GB internal storage and expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card. The hybrid dual SIM based smartphone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat based MIUI 9 operating system and has a 3080 mAh battery.
The Xiaomi Mi 5X boasts a dual camera setup of 12-megapixel rear camera, one with Wide-Angle with 1.25-micron pixel sensor and f/2.2 aperture, and the other is telephoto with 1-micron pixel sensor and f/2.6 aperture). For the selfies, it features a 5-megapixel front facing camera. On the connectivity front, the device offers 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), GPS with AGS/GLONASS, 3.5mm Audio Jack and USB type C. The device measures 155.4 x 75.8 x 7.3 mm and weighs 165 grams. The Sensors include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, infrared, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.
