Xiaomi Mi 5 smartphone was launched earlier this year, now a Chinese e-retailer website called ‘gome.com.cn’ is selling the Extreme version of Xiaomi Mi 5 with overclocked CPU, GPU and RAM. The Xiaomi Mi 5 Extreme version is priced at Â¥1,999 and comes in white, black, gold, and light purple color.
The original Mi 5 is powered by a Snapdragon 820 which is clocked at 1.8GHz, where as the extreme version overclocked to 2.15GHz. The 510MHz Adreno 530 GPU overclocked to 624MHz, and 1333MHz 3GB RAM speed overclocked to 1866MHz.
The rest of the specifications of Xiaomi Mi 5 Extreme version are same as original Mi 5. The new model comes with a 5.15 inch display that has full HD resolution, dual SIM, a fingerprint scanner, Android Marshmallow operating system, a 16 megapixel rear camera that has Sony IMX298 sensor, 6P lens, phase detection auto focus feature, LED flash light support, optical image stabilization and sapphire glass protection for lens. For selfies, the Mi 5 offers a 4 megapixel front camera.
The extreme version also has 3000 mAh battery with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology, USB Type C port, 4G with VoLTE, WiFi (a/b/g/n/ac), Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, and UFS 2.0 storage. The handset measures 144.5×69.2×7.25mm and weighs 129 grams.
