Xiaomi launches Mi 6X Hatsune Miku Special Edition

Xiaomi has launched this special edition variant in collaboration with the Japan Crypton Future Media. Earlier last year, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X Hatsune Miku Limited Edition smartphone was also launched in China.

Xiaomi has today launched Xiaomi Mi 6X Hatsune Miku Special Edition smartphone in China. The new variant comes with 6GB of and 64GB of internal storage and is priced at 2,099 Yuan which is approx. Rs 22,000.

The Limited Edition comes with Hatsune Miku icon at the back and a 10,000mAh Mi power bank. The front looks like the regular white finish of the Mi 6X. Xiaomi will be selling a limited number of 5,000 units of the smartphone.

Xiaomi has launched this special edition variant in collaboration with the Japan Crypton Future Media. For the unintended, Hatsune Miku is the name of a Vocaloid (a singing voice synthesizer software) featuring a 16-year-old girl with a long twin tail. Earlier last year, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X Hatsune Miku Limited Edition smartphone was also launched in China.

Xiaomi is already selling the Mi 6X in five different colours- Black, Red, Gold, Blue and Rose Gold. The tech specifications of Xiaomi Mi 6X Hatsune Miku Limited Edition are identical to the existing Xiaomi Mi 6X also which was launched earlier this year. The Xiaomi Mi 6X Hatsune Miku Special Edition smartphone features a 5.99-inch Full display with 2160 × 1080 pixels resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

On the camera front, the device features a dual-camera setup with a combination of 12-megapixel primary lens with f/1.75 aperture and 1.25-micron pixel size, Sony IMX486 sensor along with a secondary 20-megapixel with f/1.75 aperture and 2-micron pixel size, Sony IMX376 sensor. The smartphone comes with integration as well that will enhance the photos clicked by the users. For the front, there is a 20-megapixel shooter with Sony IMX376 sensor and flash.

The Xiaomi Mi 6X is backed by a 3010 battery and it runs on 8.1 Oreo with company’s latest MIUI. Interestingly, this is Xiaomi’s first smartphone that ditches 3.5mm audio jack in favour of USB Type-C port. There is a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel. On the connectivity front, it supports, VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, dual-SIM, and USB Type-C port.
