Xiaomi has sold over 5 million Redmi Note 5 series units since its launch

The Redmi Note 5 comes with a price tag of Rs 9,999 for the 3GB RAM variant, while the 4GB RAM option is priced at Rs 11,999. The Redmi Note 5 Pro is priced at Rs 13,999 for the 4GB RAM option, while the 6GB RAM variant is priced at Rs 16,999.

Xiaomi has today announced that it has sold over 5 million Redmi Note 5 units since its launch. The series includes the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphones which were launched in February this year.

Xiaomi has claimed that it’s the fastest selling phone series in India to cross the 5 million mark in the given time across all platforms.

As per the press release shared by Xiaomi, the Redmi Note 4 was the bestselling phone last year in India having sold 10 million units within one year of launch and 5 million units in its first 6 months. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 series has performed even better than its predecessor, by selling 5 million within 4 months. However, the company did not individual sales numbers for the smartphones or which smartphone did better than the other.

Xiaomi says “Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro, including all variants for both smartphones, have gained massive popularity and received huge love from Mi fans. We have worked diligently to ramp up the supplies of our Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro so that Mi Fans can buy them easily at any time.”

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro back on February 14 in India. The Redmi Note 5 comes with a price tag of Rs 9,999 for the 3GB variant, while the 4GB RAM option is priced at Rs 11,999. The Redmi Note 5 Pro is priced at Rs 13,999 for the 4GB RAM option, while the 6GB RAM variant is priced at Rs 16,999.
