Black Shark Technologies, a manufacturing firm funded by Xiaomi, is all set to launch its first gaming smartphone on April 13. The company has revealed the news on the Chinese website, Weibo.
The teaser image reveals that the smartphone will launch at an event in China at 3:00 PM. If this is believed to be true then we might have a direct competitor to Razer’s latest gaming-centric smartphone.
Previously, certain specs of the upcoming device were leaked online. The leak revealed that the smartphone will be available in three memory configurations. The base model will feature a 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, the middle model will boast an 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, while the top-end model will come loaded with an 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
The brand has already confirmed that the upcoming gaming smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. The handset was earlier spotted on Geekbench – a Benchmarking website. Earlier it was spotted on Antutu too.The so-called Xiaomi Blackshark has Android 8.0 Oreo operating system, Snapdragon 845 SoC, and 8GB of RAM, as per the Geekbench listing. The Antutu listing had mentioned 32 GB of internal storage, a display with 1080×2160 pixels Resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio.
