Following the very recent launch of its 200 Watt PMPO sound output mobile phone, Xage today announced the launch of its latest dual SIM multimedia mobile phone called Xage M117. This dual SIM phone has a sleek body with a stylish silver and black, two-tone colour. The keypad on the device is alphanumeric, and merges with the flat front surface.
M-117 has a big 2.2 inch QVGA resolution display, a 2 mega Pixel camera, expandable memory of up to 8 GB, a multimedia player, and Bluetooth for wire-free connectivity. This phone also has dedicated multimedia keys for music playback, and although the company has not mentioned anything about external audio connectivity, we expect it to have a standard 3.5 mm audio jack.
With a price tag of about Rs 3,000 this phone places itself in the budget multimedia phone category where expectations are limited but are very obvious. People opting for this range of handset want better battery life, good music playback etc. On paper, the new phone looks good, but the real test will be when people actually use it.
