Voto Mobiles, a Chinese-based company, is all set to enter the Indian market this year. The company is planning to launch three smartphones in India, which will be priced under Rs 10,000.
The company spokesperson has revealed that the company will invest Rs 500 crore in operations, marketing and promotions in the country. Further, the brand is eying 2 per cent market share in the budget segment and are planning to sell 1 million smartphones in India by the end of this financial year.
The spokesperson has further revealed that the company will launch its smartphones lineup in the online as well offline domain and the company will introduce branded stores as well. Voto also plans to handset bundling with major telecom operators like Airtel, Vodafone-Idea and Reliance Jio in the coming days.
“India is one of the most potential markets for Smartphones and demand for it is growing every year. In the initial phase, alongside India, we have plans to enter Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal,” said Voto official from China.
The company has a partnership with Telco China Mobile and the handsets are manufactured by Xunri Communications. “Voto mobile aspires to be one of the leading smartphone companies by offering its superior handsets at the most competitive prices. Simultaneously, it will generate tremendous value for its investors & stakeholders,” said Santosh Singh, National Sales Head, Voto India.
This is not the first time, Voto Mobiles have made some similar announcements in 2017. The company made similar promises, though the brand remained silent after that. Now, once again the brand is back with the news of its Indian debut and it would be interesting to see whether it will be able to launch its smartphones in the country this time or not.
