Vodafone rolls out 4G in Siliguri

The operator has promised to roll out 4G services across West Bengal over the next few months.

Vodafone has launched its 4G services in West Bengal’s Siliguri. The operator also promised to roll out 4G services across West Bengal over the next few months. The teleco has already launched 4G services in Kerala, Karnataka, Kolkata, Delhi & NCR, Mumbai, Haryana UP East and Gujarat.

Built on the 1800 MHz band, Vodafone SuperNet 4G enables customers to access internet via mobile phones, MiFi and dongles.
“Vodafone SuperNetTM 4G services in West Bengal is built on a strong fibre backhaul and is supported by its superfast 3G services on a new and modern network. With this launch, Vodafone is now uniquely positioned to offer in West Bengal, 2G/3G/4G services on its own state of the art, convergent radio technology,” Vodafone said in a press release.

Vodafone added that its users will have international roaming on 4G in 22 countries including UK, UAE, Turkey, Ireland, Singapore, Albania, Netherlands, Romania, Germany, Greece and Czech Republic.

Announcing the launch of Vodafone SuperNetTM4G service in West Bengal, Naveen Chopra, chief operating officer, Vodafone India said, “As a steadfast partner to Digital India, we are delighted to launch Vodafone SuperNet 4G in West Bengal during this second phase of our 4G rollout. 4G has the potential to revolutionize the mobile experience through powerful innovation that impacts how we work and live. As of now, Vodafone is offering free upgrade to 4G for customers along with high-speed 4G SIM. The operator claims to offer 4G services at 3G prices with data packs starting from as little as Rs 9 for 35 MB. Customers buying greater than 1GB packs will also get twice the data allowance in 4G and unlimited local Vodafone to Vodafone Calls (7/15 days). You can enjoy 3 months access to free TV, movies and videos on Vodafone Play as part of Vodafone 4G subscription.
