Vivo Z5 launched with 6.38-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, Snapdragon 712 SoC

Vivo Z5 runs on Android 9.0 Pie operating system with Funtouch UI layer over it.

Vivo has announced the launch a new smartphone under its Z-series with the launch of Z5 in China. The smartphone will be available in Forest Night, Aurora Illusion and Holographic Illusion colours.


The smartphone comes with a price tag of 1598 Yuan for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage option,  1898 Yuan for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, 1998 Yuan for 6GB RAM + 256GB and 2298 Yuan for 8GB RAM + 128GB storage.

The Vivo Z5 is equipped with a 6.38-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 processor along with Adreno 616 GPU. The phone is backed by up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. The Vivo Z5 offers 90 percent screen-to-body ratio and it carries support for features like Always-on Display and DC dimming.


For optics, the phone is equipped with a triple rear camera setup with a combination of 48-megapixel with f/1.8 aperture, a 120-degree 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. There is a front-facing camera of 32-megapixel with f/2.0 aperture on the device. 

The phone runs on Android 9.0 Pie operating system with Funtouch UI layer over it and it supports face unlock and fingerprint sensor. It is backed by 4,500mh battery that carries support for 22.5W fast charging. The phone will come with a USB-C port for fast charging. On the connectivity front, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, USB Type C and dual-SIM support. The device measures 159.53 x 75.23 x 8.13mm and it weighs 189.6 grams.
