As expected, Chinese mobile manufacturer, Vivo has finally launched Vivo Y66 smartphone boasting16-megapixel front-facing camera with soft flash under its Y-series in India. The smartphone is priced at Rs 14,999 and sale will kick start from March 20th across the country. It comes in two colour options-Crown Gold and Rose Gold.
As far as specifications are concerned, Vivo Y66 has a metal unibody design and features a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone comes armed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Octa-Core processor (4 x 1.2 GHz Cortex A53 + 4 x 1.5 GHz Cortex A53), along with Adreno 505 GPU. The smartphone phone comes with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. The Y66 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system wrapped under Funtouch OS 3.0 and is backed up by a 3000mAh Li-Polymer non-removable battery with Quick Charge 2.0 technology.
On the camera front, it sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with with soft flash for selfies and video chats. Besides, the smartphone offer Hybrid Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, a microUSB port, Wifi (802.11 b/g/n), Wi-Fi hotspot, GPS, Accelerometer, Gyro sensor, Geomagnetic sensor, split-screen feature for multitasking and a unique eye protection mode. The handset measure 153.8 x 75.5 x 7.6 mm and weighs 155 grams.
