Vivo has today introduced a new colour variant of its recently-launched smartphone, Vivo V9. The brand has announced Sapphire Blue colour option for its latest smartphone at a price tag of Rs 22,990.
The latest colour option will be available across all offline stores from May 18, 2018. The Sapphire Blue colour option will also make its way to Amazon India and Vivo E-store from May 21, 2018. “The new Vivo V9 Sapphire Blue is a perfect combination of premium design and impeccable performance. The new variant presents our consumers with a smartphone that not only matches-up to their daily usage demands, but also their style quotient,” said, Kenny Zeng, Chief Marketing Officer, Vivo India.
To recall, the smartphone was launched in India in March this year. The smartphone comes with a price of Rs 22,990 and apart from the latest Sapphire Blue colour option, the phone is also available in Pearl Black and Champagne Gold.
The major highlight of the smartphone is the bezel-less display with an iPhone X-like notch. The phone boasts a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio and it has 1.75mm slim bezels. The device comes loaded with a 6.3-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 octa-core Processor clocked at 2.2GHz along Adreno 506 GPU.
The device is backed by a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via micro SD card slot. The Vivo V9 features dual rear cameras with a combination of 16-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors along with LED flash. For the front, there will be a 24-megapixel shooter with a wide-angle lens. The rear camera features are Slow Motion, AI Face Beauty and 4K video. The front camera features are AI Face Beauty, Gender detection, AR Sticker, Face beauty video, Camera Filter, HDR. The smartphone will feature Face Unlock and there will be a fingerprint sensor as well.
The device runs Android 8.1 Oreo with company’s own FunTouch OS 4.0 running on top of it. It is backed by a 3260mAh battery with fast charging support. On the connectivity front, the Vivo V9 supports triple slot, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, GPS, dual SIM and Micro USB 2.0. The handset measures 154.81 x 75.03 x 7.89 mm and weighs 150 grams.
