Vivo has today announced the launch of its first mid-range smartphone that comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor and a new waterdrop-like notch in India. Dubbed as Vivo V11 Pro, the smartphone comes with a market operating price (MOP) of Rs 25,990 and it will be available for pre-booking from September 6 onwards. The phone will go on sale on September 12, 2018.
The company has also introduced some launch offers on the latest smartphone. To start with, HDFC Bank customers will get a flat Rs 2,000 cashback on the purchase of the latest device. This brings down the price of the phone to just Rs 23,990. Reliance Jio users, on the other hand, can avail instant benefits worth Rs 4050. Apart from this, the company is also offering a one-time screen replacement on the latest smartphone.
The major highlight of the new device is the Halo FullView display. Unlike other notched displays, which are generally quite broad in nature, Vivo has added a notch that is a size of a waterdrop. This type of notch was first seen in Essential Phone. Apart from this, the device is a first in a mid-range segment that comes loaded with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The phone comes loaded with a glass design and it will be available in Starry Night and Dazzling Gold colour options.
Jumping straight to the specifications, the Vivo V11 Pro features a 6.41-inch Full HD+ Halo FullView display with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor along with Adreno 512 GPU. The phone is backed by a 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. With this kind of specifications, the smartphone will face a stiff competition from Xiaomi Poco F1, Oppo F9 Pro and more. The same chipset is present in Xiaomi Mi A2 as well, which is priced at Rs 16,999.
