Vivo has now launched NEX 3, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in China. The Vivo NEX 3 comes in two variants – one with 4G support and one with 5G support. Alongside the Vivo NEX 3, the company also launched its first Bluetooth earphone at the event – the Vivo True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earphone with Qualcomm’s latest QCC5126 wireless chip.
The NEX 3 4G variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is priced at 4998 Yuan (Rs 50,633 approx.). The NEX 3 5G 8GB RAM with 256GB storage variant is priced at 5698 Yuan (Rs 57,725 approx.) and the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage variant is priced at 6198 Yuan (Rs 62,789 approx.). The Vivo NEX 3 comes in Black and White colours.
The Vivo NEX 3 features a 6.89-inch Full HD+ AMOLED Display with 1080 X 2256 pixels resolution, 100% P3 wide color gamut, HDR10, 800 nit brightness and 99.6 per cent screen-to-body ratio. The highlight of the phone’s design is its Waterfall Display which curves right into the area where the power and volume control buttons are usually placed. Instead, the company has included a pressure-sensitive sensor and X-axis motor in the side of the phone. The smartphone also includes an in-display fingerprint sensor and includes features like X-axis Haptic Vibration motor, Touch Sense, among other things.
The phone is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 855 Plus 7nm Processor with Adreno 640 GPU coupled with 12GB RAM and 512GB (UFS 3.0) internal storage. For the camera, the phone has a triple rear cameras with a 64-megapixel main sensor with 1/1.72″ Samsung GW1 sensor, 0.8μm pixel size, f/1.7 aperture, LED flash, 13-megapixel 120-degree ultra-wide lens, a 13-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x Optical Zoom and 20x digital zoom.
For the front, the phone has a pop up the 16-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture. It is fueled by 4500mAh battery with support for 44W Superfast Flash Charge via USB Type-C. The phone also comes with Vapor Chamber Cooling System that the company claims “supplies power while remaining cool even with heavy 5G usage.”
The phone has Vivo’s AI voice assistant Jovi and runs FunTouch OS 9.1 based on Android 9 Pie. The connectivity features are 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C, NFC and 3.5mm audio jack. It measures 167.44 x 76.18 x 9.4mm and the weight is 218 grams.
