Videocon launches 8 handsets under new Infinium series

Though Videocon has not revealed the prices of the phones, it said the range starts from Rs 6,000.

Videocon has announced a new series of 3G Android smartphones, called Infinium. Under the new series, Videocon has announced eight new Android handsets – A55HD, A55qHD, A54, A53, A52, A48, A42 and A31. All the Infinium range features various connectivity options, including USB, EDGE, HSPA+, WLAN and Bluetooth. Also, all the handsets in this new series come with dual SIM feature.

Videocon Infinium A55HD is the flagship product in the series and comes with 1.2 GHz quad core processor, 5 inch HD display with OGS (one glass solution), 8 megapixel BSI sensor based rear camera, and a 3.2 megapixel front camera. Besides, the Infinium A55HD has 2000 mAh Li-Ion battery, dual SIM, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system, 4 GB ROM, 1 GB RAM, and 32 GB expandable storage slot.

The Videocon Infinium A55qHD too comes with a 5 inch display but with 960×540 pixel resolution. It has a 1.3 GHz quad core processor, 8 megapixel auto focus rear camera with BSI sensor, 1.3 megapixel front camera, and a 2000 mAh Li-Ion battery.

The Videocon Infinium A54 has a huge 5.3 inch display but with 540×960 pixels resolution. Besides, it comes with 1.2 GHz quad core processor, 8 megapixel auto focus rear camera, 1.3 megapixel front camera, and a 2500 mAh battery.

The Videocon Infinium A53 has a 1.2 GHz dual core processor, 5.3 inch qHD screen, 8 megapixel auto focus rear camera, and a 2 megapixel front camera. It has a 1800 mAh Li-Ion battery.

Both the Videocon Infinium A52 and A48 come with 1 GHz dual core processor but has 5 inch and 4.5 inch screen. Though both have same qHD resolution. Also both of them come with 5 megapixel rear camera and 1.3 megapixel front camera. The Infinium A52 has though a bigger 2000 mAh Li-Ion battery compared to the 1650 mAh Li-Ion battery of A48.

Both the Infinium A 42 and A31 come with 1.2 GHz dual core processor, 5 megapixel rear camera, and 1.3 megapixel front camera. The A31 though has a 1550 mAh Li-Ion battery against 1700 mAh battery of A42. Also the A42 has a bigger 4.5 inch screen as compared to 4 inch screen of A31.

Videocon though has not revealed the prices of the phones, it said the range starts from Rs 6,000.
