Upcoming LG G5 has a secondary ticker screen, claims tipster

LG G5 will have a secondary ticker display, in which screen is "always on".

LG is all set to launch its next flagship, the LG G5, on February 21 in Barcelona. Meanwhile Evan Blass, who runs the popular Twitter account @evleaks, claimed that he has actually seen the LG G5. He further added that the phone has a secondary ticker display, which remain “always on” and shows details such as time, weather, date and battery icon when the main display is off. It is quite similar to what was available in LG’s premium V10 smartphone where in the ticker screen, just above the main screen but below the top bezel, is located. Apart from shortcuts, this secondary screen allows users to access applications without having to go through the main menu. The LG G5 will succeed the LG G4 that was launched in India last year for Rs 51,500.

As far as specifications are concerned, earlier reports says LG G5 might come with metal unibody. The LG G5 is expected to feature a QHD (1440 x 2560) display which could be between 5.3 to 5.6 inch. The G5 is said to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, 3GB or 4GB of RAM, and the latest 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.
