Twitter is planning to launch Save for Later feature pretty soon, also known as bookmarks. Save for Later will help users to bookmark a particular tweet in a separate list which can later be referred them.
Jesar Shah, Product Manager, Twitter said the Save for Later was the most popular user request, especially from Japan.Jesar Shah also mentioned till now to bookmark any tweet, users need to like, retweet or DM themselves the post, but with the new save for later feature, they will be able to bookmark in a much more easier way.
The Save For Later feature will be as easy as liking, retweeting, commenting or direct messaging, Twitter will add the bookmarking option next to the other four options, to make it easily accessible. The bookmarked tweets can only be seen by the user and will be added next to the likes tab in the profile on the web. And on the application, it will be between the Profile and Lists tab.
To recall, Twitter announced that it will begin testing to increase the character limit from 140 characters to 280 characters for tweets which is for the first time since its launch in 2006. It also said that it will begin the test with a small group before making a decision to launch the new character limit globally.
