Samsung, Nokia, Sony and LG are expected to launch two phones each while Spice and HTC may launch one phone each in the price bracket of Rs 10,000 to Rs 40,000.

Here is a list of the phones that are expected to be available for Indian mobile users in next 2-3 weeks.

Samsung Galaxy S III

Galaxy S III has a distinct set of features such as voice control and eye tracking. There are two variants of the phone out of which the model which carries a quad-core 1.4 GHz Exynos 4 mobile processor will be launched in India while the other variant which has dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with LTE is for the USA market.

The Samsung Galaxy S III features a 4.8-inch HD Super Amoled display that has PenTile pixel arrangement (two subpixels per pixel) and has about 306 pixels per inch pixel density. By default, this display supports 1280×720 pixel resolution.

Measuring just 8.6 mm thick, the Galaxy S III is about 0.35 mm slimmer than the HTC One X but weighs 133 grams with battery included.

Samsung Galaxy S Advance

Samsung Galaxy S Advance is the updated version of the popular Galaxy S smartphone. It comes with a WVGA (854×480) Super Amoled display and a large 4 inch curved glass screen. It gets a bump in performance through the new 1 GHz dual core processor and is based on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.

Samsung has also upped the 3G download speed to up to 14.4 Mbps, and has provided Bluetooth 3.0 in Galaxy S Advance for faster file transfer. Its WiFi Direct feature connects users to other devices through WiFi access points for easy content sharing. There is a 5 megapixel camera also.

The imaging capability is further aided by the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) which uses a special algorithm which combines seven different pixels in to a one better pixel. The camera also supports up to 4x digital zoom without compromising on the quality. It also allows capturing full 1080p HD videos at 30 frames per second with up to 3x Zoom while for the 720p HD resolution, one can go up to 6x zoom.
