Thomson launches its first Smart TV series in India, price starts at Rs 13,490

The models are powered by 1.4GHz ARM Cortex CA53 processor along with Mali-T720MP5 GPU. The televisions are backed by a 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.

The French-based television manufacturer, Thomson has today entered the Indian television market, by announcing the new range of affordable Smart TVs against the Xiaomi Mi LED TV 4and Mi TV 4A series in the country. The brand has launched a 43-inch Ultra HD 4K, 40-inch and 32-inch model at a price tag of Rs 27,999, Rs 19,990 and Rs 13,490 respectively. The new televisions will be exclusively available on Flipkart via flash sale on April 13, at 12 Noon.

Starting with the key specifications, the models are powered by 1.4GHz ARM Cortex CA53 along with Mali-T720MP5 GPU. The televisions are backed by a 1GB of and 8GB of internal storage.

The 43-inch UHD TV comes with the screen resolution 3840 x 2160 pixels along with LG IPS panel. The TV runs on 4.4 KitKat and comes loaded with default Gmail, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and Netflix and Aptoide Store. In terms of audio, the Thomson TV comes with 2x10W speakers. Further, the television comes with LAN, WiFi, two USB, an SD card reader, 3.5mm jack and HDMI connectivity options.

Thomson’s 40-inch and the 32-inch TVs are equipped with the Samsung’s Full HD and HD Ready panels respectively. The former bears the resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, while the later has 1366×768 pixels. Further, both the televisions feature 10W x 2 box speakers and run on Android 5.1.1 operating system. As far as connectivity is concerned, the televisions are equipped with an RF input, an AV in, 3-HDMI, 2-USB and an SD card reader.
