Xiaomi all set for the next flash sale of its two latest smartphones Xiaomi Mi 5 and Redmi Note 3. Both the phones are available from Mi.com and Amazon India. Only registered users can participate in today’s flash sale.
Xiaomi Mi 5 was launched in India earlier this month at Rs 24,999 for the 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant, where as Redmi Note 3 was launched in India last month for Rs 9,999.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 has a 5.15 inch display that has full HD resolution. It is powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor and comes along with Adreno 530 graphics processor, dual SIM, a fingerprint scanner and Android Marshmallow operating system.
The phone has a 16 megapixel rear camera that has Sony IMX298 sensor, 6P lens, phase detection auto focus feature, LED flash light support, optical image stabilization and sapphire glass protection for lens. For selfies, the Mi 5 offers a 4 megapixel front camera.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 is fueled by a 3000 mAh battery and comes with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology. It has a USB Type C port too. Other than that, the Mi 5 offers WiFi (a/b/g/n/ac), Bluetooth 4.2 and NFC. The handset measures 144.5×69.2×7.25mm and weighs 129 grams.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 also has UFS 2.0 storage which is said to offer 87 per cent faster read write speed than eMMC 5.0 storage which is found in other smartphones. The Mi 5 comes with 4G+ (CAT 12 LTE modem) technology that can offer up to 600 Mbps speed. It also supports VoLTE.
On the other hand, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 comes with a full metal body and comes with a 5.5 inch full HD display. It is armed with the 1.8 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 hexa core processor that runs this Android Lollipop based smartphone. The smartphone has a fingerprint sensor as well. Note that the 2 GB model has 16 GB of Internal Memory while the 3 GB versions has 32 GB of internal storage.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has a 16 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera. The rear camera is equipped with 5 element lens, f/2.0 aperture, 78 degree wide angle lens, two tone flash light, panorama, HDR, and manual mode features. The front camera also has a f/2.0 Aperture and it has face recognition and Beautify modes.
It is based on the Android Lollipop operating system and has a customised interface – MIUI 7. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 dual SIM with 4G connectivity, Bluetooth 4.1, dual Band WiFi, WiFi Direct, and GPS with AGPS, GLONASS and Beidou. The Note 3 has IR blaster which will allow it to be used as a remote controller. Besides it has electronic compass, gyroscope, gravity sensor, proximity, hall, and light sensors.
