Tambo Mobile has announced the launch of its latest budget-centric smartphone, the TA 4, in India. The smartphone is priced at Rs 6,999 and it will be available across major retail stores in India. The phone comes in Jet Black, Champagne Gold and Sapphire Blue colour options.
The company has tied up with Reliance Jio to offer Rs 2,200 instant cashback in the form of vouchers with Jio Football offer. The company says that it will offer a warranty of 200 days replacement along with one-time screen replacement warranty. The brand says that it currently has over 600 service centres in India and it aims to reach a mark of 1000 service centres by the end of 2018.
Coming to key specifications, the Tambo TA 4 features a 5.45-inch 18:9 display with a screen Resolution of 1280 x 640 pixels. The device is powered by a 1.25GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 Processor with Mali-T720 GPU. It is backed by a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via micro SD card slot. There is a fingerprint sensor at the back panel and it comes loaded with face unlock feature.
The TA 4 features an 8-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, while for the front, there is a 5-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. The device is backed by a 3000mAh battery and it runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. On the connectivity front, it supports 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, dual SIM and Micro USB port. The phone measures 148.5×70.5×9.15mm and weigh 133 grams.
