Syska has today announced the launch of a new LED bulb in India that comes with microbial disinfection properties. Dubbed as Syska Bactiglow LED, the bulb comes with a price tag of Rs 250.
The company claims that the latest LED bulb can electrocute harmful bacteria present in a room including Aspergillus Niger, Bacillus cereus, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, yeast, moulds and more. The bulb emits light in the wavelength of 400 nm to 420 nm which the brand claims are safe for human exposure. The bulb is designed for indoor use and can easily be installed in schools, colleges, commercial spaces, at home and does not emit harmful ultraviolet or infrared radiation.
It comes with 2-in-1 modes where one can choose either from lighting and anti-bacterial mode or just anti-bacterial mode. The company claims that it does not emit any UV/IR radiations but only visible light, which is safe for human exposure and is photo biologically safe. The 9 watts LED bulb is equipped with 810-degree lumens, meaning that it can provide bright light that covers a large area. The smart LED bulb also comes with voltage surge protection up to 4KV and it can be fitted in B-22 holder.
