Home grown mobile phone maker, Swipe has unveiled a new Android based smartphone called Elite. It will be available on Flipkart from August 19 for Rs 5,999.
Swipe Elite has a 5 inch display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core Processor and 2 GB RAM. Elite comes with 16 GB internal memory, which is expandable to up to 32 GB through a micro SD card. On the camera front, it has a 13 megapixel rear camera and an 8 MP front camera. It is powered by a 2,500 mAh battery.
The phone has Android Lollipop operating system and has a custom user interface called Freedom OS. Talking about the interface, Shripal Gandhi, founder and chief executive officer, Swipe Technologies, said, “With Freedom OS, Elite offers innovative features like Theming Engine, localized Swipe Search Engine, customizable home screen gestures and an extensive Swipe gallery with numerous theme options, live wallpapers & fonts. Another delight to the end consumer is the Swipe Box that offers upto 100GB Cloud Storage Spaceâ€.
Besides, the Swipe Elite has dual SIM, 3G, OTG support, FM radio, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, GPS, proximity and light sensor. The phone weighs 131.3 grams and measures 142×70.8×8.05 mm.
