Motorola has reportedly junked its plans to launch the successor of Moto X4, purportedly called as Moto X5.
As per reports, Motorola has recently cut some jobs in its Chicago office and the cancellation of Moto X5 is a direct result of that. However, Motorola has earlier rejected reports of layoffs but so far it has not confirmed the X5’s cancellation plans.
Purported specs of Moto X5 leaked sometime ago. As per a leaked press render, it will sport a bezel-less design, which is in line with this year’s smartphones. The device is expected with a glass back and some even hinted an iPhone X-like top notch.
As per reports, the Moto X5 will come loaded with dual front and rear cameras as well. According to previous leak, the smartphone will come loaded with a 5/9-inch display with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. There is no fingerprint sensor on the smartphone.
It might support swipe gestures, which are present in current Moto smartphones. The leaked image also reveals that the smartphone will come Moto XP’s, which could company’s new virtual assistant.
