Sony is secretly working on the Xperia Z1 Compact successor packing interest hardware inside. Details of the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact surfaced online courtesy of Twitter user DooMLord_XDA who shared snapshot of the About Phone screen as well.
Quite interesting is the fact that Xperia Z3 Compact leapfrogs the obvious Xperia Z2 Compact version that is expected after Xperia Z1 Compact. The said Xperia Z3 Compact will feature a 4.5-inch touchscreen display with 720×1280 pixel resolution. Sony has powered this smartphone with quad-core 2.5 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 mobile Processor and paired it with 2 GB RAM.
Sony Xperia Z3 Compact will offer 20.7 Megapixel camera at the rear for better imaging. In the front would be 2.1 megapixel front facing camera for video calls. Like the predecessor, even Xperia Z3 Compact can be expected to have waterproof and dustproof capabilities.
The leaked screenshot shows that the Xperia Z3 Compact is running Android 4.4.2 KitKat update. Obviously it can be expected to receive the Android L update in the future.
