Sony seems to be working on three smartphones namely Xperia XZ1, Xperia XZ1 Compact and Xperia X1. The first two smartphones will boast high-end specifications, while the third one will be more of a mid-range option. All the three smartphones are reported to be unveiled at IFA 2017, which will take place Berlin starting from September 1 to 6.
According to the latest leak, the Xperia XZ1 will boast a 5.2-inch Full HD display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The phone will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with 4GB of RAM and it will be juiced up by a 3000mAh battery.
The Xperia XZ1 Compact will be a smaller edition of the above-mentioned flagship device and will come loaded with the same processor and RAM. However, it will feature a 4.6-inch HD screen with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and will be backed up by a smaller 2,800mAh battery.
Lastly, the Xperia X1 will be a mid-ranger and will sport a 5-inch HD display, will be powered by Snapdragon 660 chipset and will feature a 2,800mAh battery. Interestingly, the translated text from the source reveals that all three smartphones will offer “full pixel continuous and shoot”. This could also mean that all the devices might come loaded with the 19-megapixel rear camera, which is found in Xperia XZ Premium and Xperia XZs.
Meanwhile, the company is also reported to launch a new smartphone known as Xperia L1 in India soon. The smartphone was found listed on an Indian retailer, which alleged reveals the key information about the device.
As per listing, the Sony Xperia L1 has a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution with a pixel density of 267ppi. It is powered by a 1.45 GHz Quad-Core MediaTek MT6737T 64-bit processor with Mali-T720 MP2 GPU. The phone has 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage with an expandable option to up to 256GB via the micro SD card slot. The smartphone sports on-screen buttons and its edges are flat and not curved. It does not come with a fingerprint sensor.
The smartphone has a 13-megapixel rear camera that has autofocus and a LED flash and 5-megapixel front camera is there for selfies. This 4G LTE smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out of the box. Besides, the Sony Xperia L1 has a non-removable 2620 mAh battery with Sony’s STAMINA mode for battery saving which claims to offer talk time up to 11.2 hours and standby time up to 639 hours. Furthermore, the smartphone also offers connectivity features such as dual sim, Bluetooth 4.2 with aptX, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS, GLONASS, NFC, and a microUSB Type-C port. The device’s dimensions are 151 x 74 x 8.7 mm and it weighs 180 grams. It has Accelerometer, Gyro Sensor and Geomagnetic Sensor.
