Sony is expected to unveil Xperia XZ and Xperia X Compact during IFA Berlin on September 1. But as per new reports the Sony Xperia XR (XZ) and Xperia X Compact could be launched on September 24.
Known tipster @Ricciolo1 claimed that Sony will be launching the Xperia XR (aka XZ) and the Xperia X Compact on September 24th. The tweet says, “6 New #Sony Style cover 3 normal(white,blue,black),3 touch(MINERAL colors)!price 45/65 eur. Available 24/09 they’re not alone…#Xperia.â€
As per Ricciolo1, Sony will also be releasing Style Covers on that day.
Sony Mobile’s Czech website had earlier listed Sony Xperia X Compact along with Xperia XZ (which is expected to be Xperia XR only). But sadly the website has not revealed their specs either. The Sony site mentions the Xperia XZ with the caption – photography and the Xperia X Compact with the caption – pictures without blur.
As per rumors, the Sony Xperia XZ will have a 5.2-inch curved 2.5D glass display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and 4GB RAM. The device is also expected to come with a 23-megapixel camera with dual LED flash and laser autofocus. It is expected to have a 13-megapixel front camera.
The Sony Xperia X Compact on the other hand is expected to have a 4.6-inch screen, Snapdragon 820 SoC and a 2700 mAh battery. Both the Xperia X Compact and Xperia XZ are likely to come with USB Type C port.
