Sony has finally added a new member to its Xperia series with the launch of Xperia XA1 smartphone in India. A successor of Xperia XA, the smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 19,990 and will be from April 11, 2017, at all Sony Center and major electronic stores across India. The device comes in White, Black and Pink colour variants.
To recall, the smartphone was first unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (2017) along with Sony Xperia XZ Premium, Xperia XZs and Xperia XA1 Ultra. The smartphone boasts a diamond cut-like finish at the top and bottom, along with aluminium sides which the makes it a compact device.
The Xperia XA1 features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixel) display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and is powered by a MediaTek Helio P20 Octa Core 64bit (Quad core 2.3GHz + Quad core 1.6GHz) processor. It comes with 3GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via micro SD card slot. The smartphone runs on Android N operating system.
On the camera front, the Xperia XA1 offers a 23-megapixel rear camera with 1/2.3″ Exmor RS for mobile image sensor, Aperture f/2.0, Hybrid Autofocus, 5x Clear Image Zoom, LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with 23mm wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. The device is juiced by a 2300mAh battery with Quick Charging support. Besides, the smartphone offers Dual SIM, 4G, A-GNSS (GPS + GLONASS), WiFi Miracast, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and USB Type-C port. The handset measures 145 x 67 x 8 mm and weighs 143 grams.
