Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra and XA1 price slashed in India

Both the smartphones boast a 23-megapixel rear camera setup.

Sony Mobile has today announced the price cut for Xperia XA1 Ultra and Xperia XA1 smartphones in India by Rs 2,000. The XA1 Ultra which was launched for Rs 29,990 in July is now priced at Rs 27,990 while the XA1 which was launched in April for Rs 19,990, is now available for Rs 17,990.

Talking about some key specifications, the Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra smartphone comes with an edge-to-edge 6-inch Full display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P20 along with 4GB of and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via micro card.

On the camera front, the Xperia XA1 Ultra features a 23-megapixel rear camera with Exmor RS mobile image sensor, Hybrid Autofocus, 24mm F2.0 lens and 5x clear image zoom. For the front, there is a 16-megapixel shooter with 23mmm wide-angle lens. The front-facing camera further supports Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and smart selfie flash, which helps in taking selfies in low-light conditions.

The smartphone runs on Nougat out of the box and is juiced up by a 2700mAh battery. Xperia XA1 Ultra comes with quick charger, UCH-12, bundled with the phones and the company claims that with QC-3.0 charging the phone can be charged 60 percent in 45 minutes. On the connectivity front, it supports 4G, v4.2, WiFi, NFC, + GLONASS, Google Cast and USB port. The phone measures 165 x 79 x 8.1mm and weighs 188 grams.

On the other hand, the Xperia XA1 features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixel) display with protection and is powered by a MediaTek Helio P20 Octa Core 64bit (Quad-core 2.3GHz + Quad-core 1.6GHz) processor. It comes with 3GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via micro SD card slot. The smartphone runs on Android N operating system.

On the camera front, the Xperia XA1 offers a 23-megapixel rear camera with 1/2.3″ Exmor RS for mobile image sensor, f/2.0, Hybrid Autofocus, 5x Clear Image Zoom, LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with 23mm wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. The device is juiced by a 2300mAh battery with Quick Charging support. Besides, the smartphone offers Dual SIM, 4G, A-GNSS (GPS + GLONASS), WiFi Miracast, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and USB Type-C port. The handset measures 145 x 67 x 8 mm and weighs 143 grams.
