Sony has announced the roll out of the Android Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade for its Xperia Go, Xperia U and Xperia Sola smartphones. The update is being rolled out globally and hence the availability of the update will differ from country to country. In India, the update is expected to be issued towards the end of the first week of October itself.
Earlier there were speculations that the Xperia Go and U will receive the ICS upgrade in the month of September itself, but Sony has delayed issuing the update for some unknown reason.
Along with the upgraded operating system, Sony promises a whole new experience to the customers of the smartphones with this update.
Apart from the update, a unique glove mode will be released to the Xperia Sola smartphone which comes with Sony’s floating touch technology based display. With this new mode, users will be able to use their Xperia Sola while wearing gloves as well, hence there would not be any necessity of special conductive gloves.
