Smartron, a homegrown brand, has added a new device to its smartphone portfolio with the launch of srt.phone. The 32GB storage variant comes with a price tag of Rs 12,999, while the 64GB variant is priced at Rs 13,999 and will be available for purchase through Flipkart.
The smartphone comes loaded with some interesting features. To start with features a polycarbonate body and has a removable back cover. The company has also stated that soon it will rolling out different covers featuring the cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. The brand also promised that it will roll out Android updates on a regular basis as well. Coming to specifications, the device features a 5.5-inch Full HD display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor. The phone is backed by a 4GB of RAM and comes in two storage variant: one 32GB internal storage and another with 64GB of internal storage, with no expandable memory option, though there is unlimited Cloud Storage with tcloudservice.
The device runs on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat and is juiced by a 3000mAh battery along with Quick Charge 2.0. On the camera front, the device comes equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies and video calling. On the connectivity front, the smartphone supports 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and USB Type-C port.
The smartphone boasts some interesting specs sheet, at least on paper, to give a stiff competition with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Honor 6X and Motorola Moto G5 Plus, which offers almost similar specifications and are priced on the same lines.
