Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was the highlight of this week which saw mostly new devices.

It wasn’t one of the hectic weeks in terms of smartphone launches but this week one of the most anticipated high end device got launched in the Indian market. But mostly this week belonged to low cost devices.

Here we have listed the smartphones which were launched in India this week.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7

The Galaxy Note 7 was launched in India at Rs 59,900 earlier this week. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 comes in Blue Coral, Gold Platinum, Silver Titanium and Black Onyx colours. The phone comes with a metal body and a 5.7-inch Quad (2560 x 1440 pixels) Super with curved edges on both right and left hand side. The display has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection as well. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is water and dust resistant and has got IP68 certification for the same.

The Galaxy Note 7 has been launched in India with octa-core Exynos 8890 (quad 2.3GHz + quad 1.6GHz) processor that runs this Marshmallow based phone with the help of 4GB RAM. The smartphone has TouchWiz UI on top and a 3500 mAh battery with technology mode. It has a USB Type C port.

The Galaxy Note 7 has 64 GB of internal storage and you can use a micro SD card of up to 256 GB in its expandable storage slot. Note that it has a hybrid dual slot which means if you use a micro SD card, you have to forgo the SIM2.

It has a fingerprint sensor as well as an Iris scanner. Besides, the phablet offers Samsung’s Knox security app. Apart from this, the device also features barometer, gyro, geomagnetic, proximity, and ambient light sensors.

The smartphone boasts a 12-megapixel rear camera that comes with dual pixel technology, LED flash, PDAF, optical image stabilisation, and f/1.7 aperture. A 5-megapixel front facing camera with f/1.7 is there in the Note 7 for selfies and video calling. On the connectivity front, the device offers 4G, 4.2, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), with AGS/GLONASS, and USB type C. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 measures 153.5 x 73.9 x 7.9mm and it weighs 169 grams.

Coolpad Mega

It is priced at Rs 6,999. It will be exclusively available on Amazon.in in variants of gold, white as well as black. The phone will go on sale starting 24 August 2016 via flash sale, registrations with begin from 10th August 5 PM.

The Swipe Konnect Plus, which is priced at Rs 4,999, comes in Black color with Sandstone Back Finish and is available exclusively on Snapdeal.

Zen Cinemax 3

Zen Cinemax 3 was made available on eBay earlier this week for Rs 5,499. The smartphone is available on eBay with a free protection kit worth Rs 499 which include a protective case and a screen guard.

Moreover, it comes with SOS feature that allows users to send location details to 5 per-defined numbers at the time of emergency.

iBall Andi F2F 5.5U

The iBall Andi F2F 5.5U is priced at Rs 6,679 and is available for purchase via Amazon and eBay India. It comes in Special Gold color.

As far as specifications are concerned, the iBall Andi F2F 5.5U has a 5.5-inch IPS (1280x720p) display with 267 ppi and a 1 GHz quad-core ARM Cortex A7 processor. DataWind, a provider of low cost products, has launched a smartphone at just Rs 1,499 this week. The smartphone, named as PocketSurfer GZ, comes bundled with one year of free Internet browsing. The Product will be available at retail counters as well as the company’s web-site www.datawind.com.
