Sharp Aquos S3 High Edition with 6.0-inch Full HD+ display, Snapdragon 660 SoC announced

The latest variant from Sharp comes with a glass design and there is an iPhone X-like notch at the top. The phone features a more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz. The High Edition is equipped with 6GB of RAM and 138GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB.

Sharp has today announced the launch of a new variant of the Aquos S3 smartphone. Dubbed as Sharp Aquos S3 High Edition, the smartphone NT$ 13,9990 (approx. Rs 31,570) and it will go on sale in Taiwan from June 11.

The latest variant from Sharp comes with a glass design and there is an iPhone X-like notch at the top. The phone features a more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core clocked at 2.2GHz. The High Edition is equipped with 6GB of and 138GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via micro card slot. The new phone also supports wireless charging, which is not present in the standard variant.

Apart from this, rest of the specifications remains the same. The phone runs on the latest 8.0 with Sharp’s Smile UX on top alongside being backed up by a 3,200mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging.The device comes with a 6-inch IPS FHD+ panel with a of 2280×1080 pixels and a tall aspect ratio of 18:9.

In terms of imaging, the Aquos S3 makes do with a dual camera setup at the rear end: 12MP+13MP wide and tele-lens with a size of 1.4um and f/1.75 for capturing the maximum brightness on a low light setting. The secondary 13MP tele-camera, as well as the front-facing 16MP camera, are enabled with for producing accurate clicks.

Connectivity options include 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, NFC, GPS and in addition to the accelerometer, gyroscope, fingerprint, magnetic, proximity and ambient light sensors.
