Sharp Aquos R Compact unveiled with 4.9-inch Full HD+ display, Android Oreo

Sharp Mobile has unveiled a new smartphone in Japan called the Sharp Aquos R Compact. The smartphone comes in Amethyst Purple, Diamond Yellow, Tourmaline Black, and Moon White. colour options. Sharp has not revealed the pricing for this smartphone yet and will be available in late December and will be a Softbank Japan exclusive.

The Sharp Aquos R Compact features a 4.9-inch IGZO full display with screen resolution of 2032 x 1080 pixels. It is armed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor, which is clubbed with 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of Internal storage, with an option to expand up to 256GB storage via microSD card. The smartphone runs on 8.0 Oreo operating system and is backed up by a 2,500 battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support.

On the camera front, the Aquos R Compact flaunts a 16.4-megapixel shooter with flash, hybrid AF and PDAF. In its front lies an 8-megapixel snapper for selfies and video chats. The smartphone houses a fingerprint scanner, which is embedded in its home button. This Dual SIM smartphone supports 4G/LTE with VoLTE network and comes with all basic connectivity options like WiFi, GPS, 5.0 etc. The handset measures 132 x 66 x 9.6 mm and weighs 140 grams. This handset is water and dust resistant (IP 68), and a port is placed on its bottom.

The device comes pre-loaded with the company’s own assistant dubbed as EMOPA, which gives the user audio and text messages and changes the screen, depending on the time, place, and user’s personal needs.
