Samsung is all set to announce its slimmest smartphone, the Galaxy A8, in India this July 29 (Wednesday). The Samsung Galaxy A8 was launched in China earlier this month and was announced for the South Korean market a couple of days back.
The Galaxy A8 is just 5.9 mm thick making it the thinnest Samsung phone till date but it isn’t the thinnest in the market – the title now belongs to Vivo X5 Max which is 4.75 mm thin. Coming back to Galaxy A8, this Samsung smartphone offers a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED Display with full HD resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 has the octa core Snapdragon 615 processor, 2 GB RAM, 16/32 GB internal memory and a 128 GB micro SD card slot. It comes preinstalled with the latest Android Lollipop operating system. The handset offers a 16 Megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera.
The Galaxy A8, despite being so slim, offers a 3050 mAh Li-Ion battery. This dual SIM smartphone offers 4G, dual Band WiFi (a/b/g/n), WiFi Direct, WiFi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.1 (A2DP, LE), NFC, FM radio with RDS and recording facility, micro USB 2.0 port, and GPS with A-GPS/GLONASS/Beidou.
